The Panhellenic games of BMX, Downiill and 4 Cross were held during
the last weekend of August (20-22) at the region “Melesses” close to
Heraklion, Crete. This incredible show was a truly unique experience for
those who participated and for those who attended.
The event is organized by the Greek Cycling Federation in
collaboration with the Athletic Organization of Heraklion, Nikos
Kazantzakis municipality and Athletic Club MINOAN CAMP FC.
The races were held on the premises of MINOAN CAMP ,Melesses-
Heraklion, in the unique Olympic BMX track that exists in our country.
It is worth to mention that there was a record of participations as far
as Greece is concerned. John Korfiatis of Messiniakos club, claimed the
first place 4Cross category. In downhill category Orlando Sarioglou of
Velos had the best performance. In the BMX race George Felekis who rides
for “Athlos” athletic club- Bike Expert, had an amazing performance and
was placed first in the general classification.
