Slovenian Janez Brajkovic has been rewarded for his Criterium du
Dauphine victory with a place in Lance Armstrong’s RadioShack team for
the Tour de France. Brajkovic, who beat twice Tour champion Alberto
Contador in this month’s warm-up race, will join seven-times winner
Armstrong on the French roads in July.
The squad, announced on the team’s website on Tuesday, will also
feature Tour podium finishers Levi Leipheimer of United States and
German Andreas Kloeden.
Portuguese Sergio Paulinho, Kazakh Dimitri Muravyev, Ukraine’s
Yaroslav Popovych, American Chris Horner and Swiss Gregory Rast complete
the line-up.
Rabobank have finalised their Tour de France squad with Bram Tankink
taking up the ninth spot. The team will be led by former Giro winner
Denis Menchov with big things also expected of Robert Gesink and Oscar
Freire.
