National team’s rider, Pavlos Halkiopoulos is going to give his best
this Sunday, May the 16th, in Crete where he is going to take part in a
historic bike race. “Venizeleia” is a series of bike races and other
sports organized since 1938 in the island of Crete. The race is held in
the memory of the great Greek politician El. Venizelos.
Nowadays, the race is organized by A.O. Kydon (Greek athletic club)
and E.O.P. (Greek cycling federation).It is considered to be a very
important event , of high standards, with many participants including
Greek and foreign teams and riders .Halkiopoulos will race an Olympia
bike –the Hero model- and will have to compete with many other
champions. We wish him the best!
